Lake County and the City of North Chicago have officially launched the Sheridan Crossing Remediation Project, a major step toward transforming a long-vacant, 40-acre property into a vibrant new development.
Located at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Sheridan Road, directly across from Naval Station Great Lakes, the site has remained undeveloped due to soil contamination from former industrial use. Today, local officials gathered to mark the beginning of efforts to clean and revitalize the land. The site has been deemed by the City to be a prime location for development.
