On May 8, 2026 the Lake County Sheriff’s Office held their annual Police Memorial at Lincoln Plaza in Waukegan. The event honored 20 law enforcement heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice, serving and protecting the people of Lake County. Law enforcement personnel and community members from throughout the County gathered to recognize and pay tribute to those who were honored during the ceremony.
